learn moreOut of the 63 product design processes listed by Heath Kamp, most of which I know are derivative of double diamond, hence follow convergence & divergence phases. The 64th convergence-only SEER framework was unique to discover and learn by implementing it in product evolution. Two new aspects for me in this project were JTBD and the design framework. Until I explored this, I had always followed Discover, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test, and other variants of the double diamond process that develop around a User Persona.

Before arriving at a design, a brief research was done to validate the idea.
JTBD approach to product design
When I need to draft a document, I want to draft easily, so I can focus on my draft.
When I try a new tweet variant, I want to compare it with other variants, so I can tweet the best.
When I am drafting, I want to search for keywords, so I can jump to it.
When I make a grammar error, I want to be notified, so I can get it error free.
When I finalize a draft, I want to check the content score, so I can tweak it right for my audience.
From Task flows to the User Interface
While working on this project I rediscovered the foundational elements of visual design and learnt that different processes make space at different phases for users to have their feedback shape the product. You gotta help Cinderella find her shiny shoe!
JTBD can help quickly move a MVP to its users for products in a competitive space.
Different processes have different user interaction points in the design phases.
Visual design principles are timeless. Even Mayans were into arts & architecture!
